fucking hell. kerrang magazine truly did jump on the band-wagon of "metalcore". i liked bring me the horizon a while back, but i didnt realise how fucking stupid they are. enter shikari should have won by a mile, its more original, better to dance to at gigs and actually has some meaning in the lyrics. ollie sykes admitted bring me the horizon have no meanings to the songs, its just fucking random shit. E.S have been constantly touring for while now, gigging all the time to win fans, not relying on myspace and "cool" hair to win them fans. they actually fucking worked for it. i've seen ALL the bands in this category live except brigade and honestly, bring me the horizon were average. next year i ain't voting. seems like being "scene" is more important than the music these days, as it shows by bmth winning.

I cant belive how many people are slagging of BMTH. People voted for them and they won, an more so they totally deserve to win. At the end of the day its about music and wether you like BMTH or not it gives you no right to call them all the names you have been.

Of course Kerrang would let it be fixed, have they been clear & up front about what measures were put in place once they knew the myspace account had been hacked. They must have been stupid in the first place to have used this method for voting as it is becoming so obvious that myspace is not a safe environment.

I personally would've liked to have seen The Blackout winning, but I wasn't too bothered about it....Until the Kerrang myspace posted a bulletin ADMITTING that their page had been hacked and that the voting poll put on their page was rigged so all votes went to Bring Me The Horizon.
Having said that, I'm not saying it was BMTH that hacked the myspace but to all the people that are determined it wasn't a fix....it those votes were counted as votes for BMTH then it was.
And after I read that bulletin I was praying for ANY of the other bands to win.
They're just another flavour of the week band that'll either get really famous after some serious hard graft, like Funeral for a Friend, or they'll end up back to being nobody by next year's Kerrang awards.
I'm still not a fan tho. Their style of music's really overrated and over-used these days!

FUCK YES! A heavy band, I mean a PROPERLY heavy band have won a Kerrang award and it's an awesome one at that. Thank fuck. They totally deserved it, by far the most exciting band Britain has produced in years. Perhaps bands like that winning Kerrang awards will pave the way for heavier bands coming back into the view, and then we can forget the sad wave of shitty bands like Aiden and Panic At the Disco.

They still think theyre normal kids, and they get embarssed when people come up to them, hence why they're quiet and come over as ignorant.
Those guys practise every day of the week , they've been going for ages now, playin the worst venues to get where they are now. They got snatched up by an awesome label, because they're talented.
Sort your lives out and stop wasting your time pissing and moaning.
I spend most of my weekends with one of them and he is pretty humbled by it all.

Brigade are quite good, seen them once, seeing them again in october with INME.

But on the list of nominees BMTH were my least favourite i don't like the way they gain the attention because they are like every other emo/hardcore/rock band out there right now.
