This year's Best British Newcomer category saw seven bands compete. Votes were cast across Kerrang! Magazine and Online, as well as via Myspace.com, who also sponsored the Award. On the night, this award was taken by fast-rising thrash rock band Bring Me The Horizon, who have become very popular very quickly within the Myspace generation. Last year's winners Bullet For My Valentine presented BMTH with their trophy - many will be waiting to see if their career takes the same successful path as Bullet's did.

The Blackout are okay... they care a lot more about their hair than their music though.
When Reason Sleeps shit all over The Blackout, compare the Blackout and The Guns and it's obvious who the most talented member of WRS was (sorry if I confused Sean Smith's new found fanclub of underaged kids).
I wouldn't mind if they'd won though.
Enter Shikari should've won, but at least the band that won it are preferable to Bullet for my Fucking Valentine...
