I would probably have voted Dragonforce personally, I like both bands a lot, heck, i probably prefer Muse's music, but from what i've seen Dragonforce are the better live spectacle.
It makes little sense that Muse were in the most catagories, yet failed to be in the best band list (which was utter crap ). Muse didn't deserve to win all their awards, mainly due to SMBH which is, to be honest, not that great, nor is the video, but they deserve this. Can't wait to see 'em live in November.

Just saw tv coverage of Muse at Reading and they were as spell-binding as usual. No band can touch them for intensity, creativity or originality. It's refreshing to see a band that is so passionate about making music that pushes boundaries. They don't need a clothing line or ridiculous make-up to be a success. They're no flash-in-the-pan 'emo' trend. Actually calling FOB etc emo is an insult to quality bands like Sunny Day Real Estate, Fugazi and Embrace. The kids on their school holidays may have decided the Kerrand awards, but true music fans spoke this weekend when Panic, Aiden and FOB were bottled at Reading. Fellow quality muusic fans remember nu-metal was cool a few years ago and is now dead, just like this pop-'punk' trend will be soon. I hope Pete 'media whore' Wentz has his McDonalds application filled out.

Dragonforce should have won. ive seen them twice on their tour this year and it was amazing. even if their music isnt everyones taste, their performances are AAWWWWWWWWEsome
muse live = absolutely amazing. saw them in november no other live band iv seen has ever come close they have so much intensity and the light shows sychronized wiv the music are truly jaw dropping. Fuck who ever said muse wer crap i noticed one of u guys who dissed use cudnt even spell so tht shows what u know.
I sam them on Rock Werchter. It was beyond everything I have ever seen. They owend the stage, the crowed and for many people with me the festival. The sound, the connection with the audience and the lightshow where amazing. It took me a whole night to realize what I saw. It was not just a band that played well. It was a combination of every musical an visual aspect that took the show beyond everything I saw.
(besides muse, metallica, snow patrol, faithless, chemical brothers, arctic monkeys, queens of the stoneage, Bjork and Pearl jam hit the stage. Not one of them came close)
One afternoon, I was in the backyard hanging the laundry when an old, tired-looking dog wandered into the yard. I could tell from his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home. But when I walked into the house, he followed me, sauntered down the hall and fell asleep in a corner. An hour later, he went to the door, and I let him out. The next day he was back. He resumed his position in the hallway and slept for an hour.
This continued for several weeks. Curious, I pinned a note to his collar: "Every afternoon your dog comes to my house for a nap. "
The next day he arrived with a different note pinned to his collar: "He lives in a home with ten children - he's trying to catch up on his sleep."

the person hu sed lost profits have more variety than muse is very deluded. im very open minded wen it comes to music but im fed up with crappy bands trying to make it like fall out boy, panic etc singing about their floppy hair cuts that make them want to kill themselves. muse are absolutely amazin live, they have true passion for music and an intense and creative style thats mindblowing. well done muse! oh and about muse songs sounding the same? errr maybe u just accidently listened 2 1 song over and over and got confused. woooMUSE!!!!!!!!!!

To me Muse are the best band ever and should have won all the awards they were nominated for, and they are class live but this has to be like the 17th award for best live act they've gotten....I think we've established that they're a good live act...why not best album? Why not even nominated for best band on the planet? MCR suck in comparison, they deserve a bit more than the same award for the 5th year running

i used to love muse a long time ago. i was young and naive. after hearing my friends talk about them, i realized that they sucked big time. there are even proofs that muse are totally unoriginal. so please... all you stupid kids, grow up. listen to more good music.

But I have to say taht Bullet were bad live, Trivium were good, Dragonforce were brilliant but there not very dynamic live, partly becuase there songs sound the same. Playing the keyboard with your nose however is a talent. The award did deserve to go to muse however because of the spectacle they create and the variety of the songs. And beginning with KOC and Hysteria and ending with TIRO and Stockholm Syndrome is incredible. Not sure about MCR getting best band on the planet, seems theyve made two albums, one which was shocking and the other which was great.

I sam them on Rock Werchter. It was beyond everything I have ever seen. They owend the stage, the crowed and for many people with me the festival. The sound, the connection with the audience and the lightshow where amazing. It took me a whole night to realize what I saw. It was not just a band that played well. It was a combination of every musical an visual aspect that took the show beyond everything I saw.
(besides muse, metallica, snow patrol, faithless, chemical brothers, arctic monkeys, queens of the stoneage, Bjork and Pearl jam hit the stage. Not one of them came close)
