It could've been worse I guess, and Lostprophets could have won with the lyrically shameful Rooftops *shudders*. But really? Tears Don't Fall, the single version? Where Matt Tuck breaks down into a rap for the chorus? In my opinion, they should've just released the proper album version.

RELAX people. Yeah a shit band, of course Muse should have got 5 awards, but most of their fans are too old for Kerrang. Muse have an older, more diverse fan base than the other bands, meaning the little girls who vote for the Kerrang Awards won't vote for them. I doubt Muse will lose any sleep over it. Lostprophets and BFMV with their dire lyrics and out-of-control egos won't be remembered as a classic, influential band in 20 years time. Muse will. They're nominated for the Mercury Music Prize, far more prestigious than a Kerrang Award purely because it's based on music rather than which singer 13 year olds fancy this week. You've got to hand it to FOB tho, they make me have some respect for McFly and Busted, purely because those bands admit to being crappy pop bands driven by money. FOB are about as punk as Girls Aloud, and having a 'fit' (are you blind?!) bassist does not equal musical talent. Great bands are out there but most of the time you have to go out and look for them, not just lap up what bland generic shit is mass-marketed to you.

People face it Kerrang! is the biggest pile of bullshit ever. It is a good metal magazine gone bad like every week i buy it all i see is fucking emo and pop-punk wannabes like - Aiden, Paramore, Fall Out Boy and Panic! at the disco. I understand why people say Bullet or Trivium should have won and I was happy to see bullet win. People then are critizing other people for sayin that the only true metal songs on there are 'Dying in your arms' and 'Tears don't fall' but the truth is that they are! But in my opinion none of these should have won, since there were only two proper metal releases this year and they were 'Through the fire and the flames' and 'The reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg'. Iron Maiden deserved the best single and i also think that Slayer should have won best album for 'Christ Illisuon'. And incase you havent realized yes i am a metal purist and personaly i think all we true metal fans should boycott Kerrang! until they return to they're metal roots.
We don't need to hear anymore aout FOB and P!ATD what we want are more stories about true metal bands like Metallica Slayer and Cradle Of Filth. And more decent posters instead of this Warped Tour and all this emo shit!
